But what kind of person lies behind the vibrant colours, the bushy eyebrows and the floral wreaths? Her personal letters serve as a guide through this film about her art and her eventful life.
The film features experts who knew Frida Kahlo personally or have researched and curated her work. They speak of her feverish creativity, her resilience and her unparalleled zest for life, politics, men and women.
As is customary in the »Exhibition on Screen« series, our very personal, intimate film combines interviews with commentary and detailed art analysis. Featuring numerous shots from Kahlo’s »Blue House« in Mexico City.
