Ennio Morricone –
A film like a symphony: Ennio Morricone composed the soundtracks of several hundred films – today his music is almost as legendary as the composer himself. With »Ennio Morricone – The Maestro«, Oscar winner Giuseppe Tornatore (»Cinema Paradiso«) dedicates a monumental documentary film to his friend and companion.
In touching interviews, Ennio Morricone looks back on his incomparable life in the documentary film. Hollywood greats such as Clint Eastwood, Quentin Tarantino and Hans Zimmer, as well as musicians such as Bruce Springsteen, Zucchero and Joan Baez bring the »Maestro« to life in their personal memories. They all tell the chronicle of a long career of unique creative breadth, which for many places Morricone on a par with the very great composers of classical music.
