Spaceship Earth

Spaceship Earth

Hosted live

3, 2, 1 – Lift-off!
Step aboard our planetarium spaceship and get ready for an exciting journey through space: after the countdown, we’ll take off and watch from space as our Earth orbits the Sun. First, we’ll explore the sunlit day side of Earth before moving on to the dark night side, which is illuminated by the many lights of the big cities. What is there to discover on our home planet when viewed from an altitude of 10,000 km?

Our journey takes us on to our nearest neighbour: the Moon. Following in the footsteps of the astronauts, we explore its deep craters and the dark spots that we can also see from Earth. We’ll also learn about the different phases of the Moon. From the Moon, we’ll fly further into the depths of our solar system and discover the orbits of the planets together. At the final stop on our space mission, things really heat up: we visit the Sun, a real star, and marvel at its glowing surface up close. Afterwards, our spaceship heads back to Earth and lands safely at the Zeiss Großplanetarium.

Get ready for a fascinating exploration of our solar system!
